Communications & Marketing Coordinator

Dora Hu is a third-year student at the University of British Columbia, where she is double majoring in English Language and Literature and Film Studies. In September 2022, she joined the Simbi Foundation team through her school’s co-operative education program.

From a young age, she has been fascinated with new media, such as video, blogs and social media. Her curiosity has led her to experiment with video editing, graphic design, website design and writing for public platforms.

At Simbi Foundation, Dora is responsible for managing the social media presence, newsletter and blog of the organization.From her experiences mentoring school aged students and being a first-generation immigrant, Dora is committed to bringing awareness to Simbi Foundation’s core mission – enhancing access to quality education for individuals across the world. She strongly believes her role within Simbi Foundation is a greater step towards creating global impact in the lives of others.
