As an individual who believes that everyone has a right to education, William is passionate about using his background in electronic systems to help create such a change in the lives of students from Uganda’s Bidibidi refugee settlement. He is currently leading research efforts into upgrading the Simbi Learning Cloud (SLC) hardware to expand both the scope and breadth of the current system and is excited to see the beneficial effect this project will have for Bidibidi.
He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Electrical Engineering at the British Columbia Institute of Technology and finds great meaning in applying the knowledge gained from the classroom to complex problems that will make a positive impact for communities Simbi Foundation is currently working with. When he is not working on the SLC or in the classroom, you can find him scurrying through Vancouver’s bubble tea scene or visiting a local park for some drop-in volleyball action.
