How do BrightBoxes help?
LACK OF ELECTRICITY
Many remote or refugee schools have limited access to electricity or lighting. With its solar roof, BrightBox freely powers itself and 10 other classrooms.
LIMITED TEXTBOOKS
8 students share 1 textbook in Uganda’s refugee settlements. BrightBox provides projectors and digital content to boost access to materials.
INTERNET CONNECTION
The internet is out of reach for 40% of people. Through its digital curriculum, BrightBox brings quality digital content to offline settings.
LACK OF TEACHERS
In Uganda’s refugee settlements, every 94 students rely on just 1 teacher. BrightBox projectors and interactive content help teachers deliver lessons.

About The BrightBox Fund
The BrightBox Fund was established by Simbi Foundation as a way for Read-A-Thon participants, corporate partners, and large donors to directly contribute to the next BrightBox installation in Uganda and India.
Through the BrightBox Fund, we plan to complete our 10-year vision of supporting the next 3.5M learners in UNHCR refugee Settlements with 235 financed BrightBoxes.
